It's Festivus for the Rest of Us!
Corinne of @exploresacto and de Vere's Pub are proud to host the 2012 Festivus Tweetup & Diaper Drive on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at de Vere's in downtown Sacramento!
Come celebrate Festivus, the holiday made popular on the television show "Seinfeld", and show your support for Maryhouse, a daytime hospitality shelter for homeless women and children.
The Diaper Drive & Raffle
We will be accepting donations of the following items:
- Diapers - Sizes 4 and 5 are most needed, though all size diapers are welcome
- Pull-up style pants
For every pack of diapers or pull-ups you bring to the tweetup,
receive an ADDITIONAL raffle ticket!
Maryhouse staff will be on hand to accept cash/check/gift card (Target, Walmart, etc.) donations. For every $10 donated, you will receive an additional raffle ticket. (e.g., $20 = 2 extra raffle tickets; $50 = 5 extra raffle tickets)

We'll be raffling off prize packs designed to get you out & exploring Sacto! Participating businesses and venues include:

Pull that embellished reindeer/snowman/Santa sweater out of the back of the closet and don that apparel for the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. We'll have someone silently judging your sweaters - and at the end of the night, the wearer of the Ugly Holiday Sweater will receive a special prize!
And for those looking for traditional Festivus activities, there's the Airing of Grievances! Been disappointed by someone or something over the past year? Tweet your grievances during the event using the hashtag #festivustweetup.
